About Me

Healthcare data scientist and operations researcher with 10+ years bridging rigorous technical methods with real-world impact — from IIT Guwahati to the CDC, always asking: "How does this help real people?"

Hi, I'm Sidd! 👋

I'm a healthcare data scientist passionate about making healthcare more human-centered, equitable, and accessible. Every model I build, every analysis I conduct is guided by one question: "How does this help real people?"

Currently:

  • 📍 Based in Baltimore, MD (regularly around the DMV area)
  • 🏥 Building microsimulation models for policy impacts at CDC's NCIPC (via Booz Allen)
  • 🤖 Exploring autonomous machine intelligence and its implications
  • ⚛️ Learning quantum computing (leveraging my statistical mechanics background)
  • 🤔 Wrestling with the ethics of unchecked technological progress
  • 📊 Applying Industrial Engineering/OR to public health policy modeling

A Bit More Personal

Living with my wonderful wife Elizabeth and our two cats, Charm and Stella (and forever missing our sweet Carly 🤍).

My academic roots are in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research, but I'm fascinated by anything at the intersection of humanity and technology.

I'm genuinely excited about AI's possibilities while deeply concerned about ensuring it serves humanity's best interests. It's this tension that drives much of my thinking these days.

Finding that my mechanical engineering background in statistical mechanics keeps proving surprisingly useful in quantum computing – who knew thermodynamics would circle back into my life this way?

Above all, I believe that technology should enhance human connection, not replace it. Every model, every analysis, every line of code should ultimately make someone's life better.
